Atletico Madrid striker, Luis Suarez, has named the toughest opponent he has ever faced.
According to Suarez, Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva, is the toughest defender he has come up against in his illustrious career.
The 34-year-old joined Atletico Madrid last summer after six years with Barcelona, where he won thirteen honours at Camp Nou.
The Uruguayan forward has also played for Liverpool and Ajax in the past.
Suarez has come up against the world’s top defenders so far, but he has now picked Silva as his hardest opponent, adding that he likes the Brazilian.
“A defender that has given me trouble and that I have faced several times was Thiago Silva,” Suarez was quoted by Metro UK as saying.
“He is an admirable defender who I have always liked.”
Meanwhile, Silva joined Chelsea last summer from Paris Saint-Germain on an initial one-year deal.
The centre-back is keen to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge for another twelve months this year.
